Would You Live In a Church? {Shelterpop}
Mar 4th 2010 11:34AM I went into a lovely church--now lovely restaurant--but I couldn't help feeling that we are loosing something important. Perhaps we should work at true restoration to original function.
Young Adults Doing Religion on Their Own? Blame It on Politics {Politics Daily}
Feb 26th 2010 9:24AM We are all social beings (to one degree or another)-- going to church, temple, mosque helps satisfy this natural desire we all have. Religion is not only a private thing. Is there something else replacing church/temple/mosque? Perhaps eating out much more/bars/football games/concerts? I find that such events drive me more to prayer--not necessarily to church. Perhaps we are all rushing around too much and there isn't sufficient time 'to get it all in'? Perhaps it is the economy.

Jan 14th 2010 9:42PM Talk show hosts need to show greater responsibility both in what they can and can't say. Just because something crosses your mind doesn't mean we need to say it--especially over the air.
The Top 10 Religion/Politics Stories of '09: Catholicism at the Fore; Niebuhr's Reemergence {Politics Daily}
Jan 4th 2010 7:46AM Our Catholic Bishops are primarily Pastors. Perhaps deacons should be the ministers to get very active in public affairs. The origin of deacons goes back to giving priests (bishops) more time to pray. Deacons were not liturgical functionaries. And what about the fast track to sainthood for Pope John XXIII--what a giant of a man.
The Top 10 Religion/Politics Stories of '09: Catholicism at the Fore; Niebuhr's Reemergence {Politics Daily}
Jan 3rd 2010 1:44PM I wonder why Pope John XXIII is not among those on the fast track to sainthood. Benedict XVI, look a little closer.
