Travoltas Make First Public Appearance Since Death of Jett {Popeater}
Sep 13th 2009 9:15PM The worst thing in the world--losing your child --at least in my opinion. I think the Travolota's are a wonderful family, they are close and care for each other; life does go on and for the sake of Ella Bleu, they are moving forward. Give them space, pray for them, be generous with your comments unless you have walked in those same shoes.
Kourtney Kardashian May Pose Nude {Popeater}
Aug 22nd 2009 12:28PM I'm sick of the Kardashians parading their dysfunctional family. They are as bad as the Simpsons, Brittany Spears and the Lohan families.
When I read the writeup above --and I did just to see if as the eldest daughter that she might be more articulate-- and almost counted the number of times she said "like" when describing her acceptance of her pregnancy-- but decided I didn't have that much time.
Don't any of these people use contraception? Merely flipping in and out of the sack with men and then are utterly surprised they get pregnant?
When I read about these types of stories, I realize the more the public is exposed to these societal episodes of family values, the worse it seems to be that the upcoming generations of children will spiral down to similar levels. It becomes an accepted way of life to get pregnant, try to have a permanent relationship with the father. This type of family saga known as reality tv perpetuates acceptance of dysfunction. It's all for "ratings" to see how low a family can go.
I am dismayed to see that our culture has become so entrenched with "reality" that draws the worse from family, relationships.
Now the Kardashian family can eek out another year of reality tv with birthing another baby into that mess.
Patrick Dempsey is the New Face of Versace {Luxist}
Dec 9th 2007 2:46PM Patrick Dempsey: understated, quiet, good chin, blue eyes, not a "pretty boy" face, but clear, honest, masculine, sexy.
More real looking than model. It's about time.
Justin Timberlake Insults Ex's New Guy {The Cooler}
Aug 24th 2007 6:28PM Still waiting for Justin to bring sexy back. He's a good song and dance man but he is not sexy. Sorry, hon. John Meyer sings pretty good, but he sings too softly, it's wimpy. Both these guys get the girls though. Wish Cameron could get a decent guy who would appreciate her decency and treat her with respect.
Pets in the Workplace {Animal Hubbub}
Aug 18th 2007 8:05AM My dentist has her dog in the office, but knows that I don't like it and has the receptionist keep it in another area. My former hairdresser allowed people to bring their pets with them; imagine going into a hair salon with three large dogs sitting there (and I mean large!) and a smaller one going around smelling them. I left there and didn't go back.
I met with a mortgage broker in a bank and she had her dog with her; apparently they are inseparable. Just because other people want their dogs in the workplace, I do not care for them, sniffing, trying to smell my shoes, curling up at my feet. I refuse to go in unless they put the dog away. They get the message otherwise I get someone else to do business with. It is not relaxing for me to have animals around.
If I go to the dentist I'm already tense. A dog is not going to do anything for me except push me over the edge. Same with the hairdresser: my hair is hard to style and I just don't feel relaxed with an animal walking around in my hair clippings and laying at my feet. Imagine laying back and having your hair washed and the small dog leaps on your lap! I say forget it, I'll go somewhere else. And as for the woman at the bank, I refuse to do business with her. I went to someone else at the same bank.
One lady brought her sick dog to an adult ed class with her. She was one of the instructors, but the dog was sickly and had an oozing eye. I cannot tell you the complaints that I received from the principal of the school (no pets allowed) and from the students in that class! A real turnoff to bring a sick animal anywhere -- if you love it so much, hire a dog sitter or stay home with it.
I do not object at all if someone has a dog in training for a blind person.
Thanks for letting me have my little rant.
More Spears Baby Rumors, but Not Britney's {The Cooler}
Jul 30th 2007 7:59PM I decided to check out the Headline: " Maybe fake, but still fabulous" which then listed Brittany's sister and the Fox Newsroom Fire (false) and realized that it is not fabulous at all if someone who is unwed, sixteen and a potential role model for many young girls -- to be pregnant. I wonder about these Hollywood types making their dysfunctional lives the norm. It's not good. And society will pay for all the mistakes these in-your-face horny people make by multiple partners, having sex as if it is as trivial as blowing one's nose. I'm disgusted.
Album deal for Rachael Ray {TV Squad}
Sep 25th 2006 1:32AM I won't ever forget her telling everyone to use the bagged veggies, they are all washed and ready for cooking! Ha! Guess that was before the e coli Spinach problem.
She's cute but talks too fast and is too bubbly -- I think over commercialized now.
Would you light your kid's cigarette? {ParentDish}
Aug 6th 2006 9:04PM They probably wanted to curb their appetites so they wouldn't have to go out for lunch.
Britney Weeps "With The World" {TMZ}
Jun 16th 2006 6:39AM I believe Brittany hates the papparazi because they are always photographing her and I'm sure Kevin's every move and his moves are not so pretty. If she looks in the newspaper she can see if he's holding on to another woman, or being a cheater. He's not a committed kind of guy - too bad Brittany's mother has not stepped in to help her daughter get rid of this creep. Photos don't lie...people can say anything they want, but a photo tells it true.
National parenting expert wants Mother's Day canceled {ParentDish}
May 14th 2006 4:14PM I think it's nice to remember someone on a day set aside for it. People sometimes overlook the opportunity to tell a person how special and loved/respected etc they are, even though the person is probably the cornerstone of their life. While it's often an unreal task of telling someone every day how much they are loved, etc. it's nice that there's one day set aside for this acknowledgement. Plus, look at what the florists, greeting card people have-- a burst in business!
