Nike Zoom Kobe V - USC

Nike Basketball has recently released a special version of the Zoom Kobe V for the University of Southern California. The shoe features the athletically-adept school's Cardinal red and gold colors as well as an iridescent faux scale overlay. Nike Zoom LeBron VII Post Season

If you've avoided LeBron James' Nike Air Max LeBron VII because the 360-soled beast is more shoe than you'll ever need, you may be in luck. The Zoom LeBron VII Post Season, scheduled to drop at the end of March, replaces the pillowy 360 midsole with a stripped-down, carbon-reinforced Zoom version, while retaining much of the same style on the upper (although not the huge triangular metal eyelets up top). Hopefully, they won't burn your house down. Detail shots below.

              Reebok ZigTech

Honestly? We're a little skeptical. When yet another company reveals yet another full-length cushioning -slash- energy-return midsole/outsole, we have to wonder: What is this going to improve more? The runner's experience, or the company's recognizability? After all, now we're being told that the best cushioning might be no cushioning at all. Reebok's full-length ZigTech midsole purportedly transfers energy from the heel forward with every stride -- which would certainly be beneficial to runners (and other athletes, who presumably will get their own shoes in due turn). The bright midsole is fused to a minimalist nylon upper. The initial drop looks to be a big one, as there are already a ton of colorways -- both men's and women's -- on display. Look for them around March 1st. And make up your own mind. Detail shots follow.

                Nike Zoom Kobe V 'Blackout'

Yes, technically these Zoom Kobe Vs aren't totally black -- the toecap and eyestays are dark grey, and there are hits of purple on the outsole -- but barring an ID pair, they're as close to all black e'rything as you can get. No release date yet, but they're coming. We promise. Check another angle below.
