Freddy Krueger has been haunting our dreams since 1984. Perhaps the most popular serial killer of the 80s and 90s, Krueger's combination of wit and creativity delivered some of the most memorable death scenes in the entire horror genre. Dare we call it "art?" With "A Nightmare On Elm Street" getting ready to be relaunched on April 30th, it only makes sense to count down some of StreetLevel's favorite death scenes courtesy of Mr. Krueger.

11: "Fuel Injection!"
Dan Jordan's death at the beginning of "A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" sent a jolt through the ratings committee. The boyfriend of heroine Alice meets a gruesome demise when falling asleep at the wheel of his motorbike. Freddy takes control of the bike and parts begin to mesh with Dan's skin. The grisly death had to be edited for a theatrical release.

10: "What A Rush"
Former druggie Taryn thinks she can take down Freddy as a punk rocker in "A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors." Yeah right! Krueger turns his blades into needles and sticks it to the chick. Did we mention that Taryn's marked arms have become blinking eyes? Ew!

9: "You Are What You Eat"
In "A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" Greta suffered from an eating disorder. Rather than let Greta starve, Freddie fed the young lady until she damn near burst. Ugh.

8: "Wanna Suck Face?"
Sheila suffered from asthma in "A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master" and Krueger wanted to take her breath away – literally. After passing out in class, Krueger thrusts a metal glove from out of Sheila's homework. After wrestling a bit, Sheila comes face to face with Freddy as he asks "Wanna Suck Face?" and sucks all of the life from her body before dropping the soulless carcass to the floor.

7: "Super Freddy"
One of the more creative of Krueger's kills takes place in "A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child." Comic book geek Mark thinks he can become a super hero to put an end to Freddy. But we all knew better. Krueger becomes a super villain and tears Mark to shreds – literally.

6: "You Can Check In, But You Can't Check Out!"
In "A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master," Debbie Stevens is the strong girl who has a tremendous fear of bugs. So what does Freddy do? Snap her arms off while bench pressing to reveal a roach's limbs before squishing her in a roach motel. Yuck!

5: "Death To Johnny Depp"
Johnny Depp's first role saw him get slaughtered in the original "A Nightmare On Elm Street." As Glen Lantz, the big dummy fell asleep prematurely when he was supposed to be awake. He gets dragged into the bed (literally) and a few gallons of blood spew out onto the ceiling. His mother actually walked in and witnessed this. Sucks to be her.

4: "You Forgot The Power Glove"
Probably one of the more funny of Freddy's deaths, "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" found Krueger at odds with video game geek Spencer. After dragging Spencer into a video game, Freddy challenges him with with bad guys like his father. Spencer manages to eat a power apple and gains power to blast and pound his enemies. After his friends manage to snatch the controller away from Krueger, Freddy reveals that his menacing glove doubles as a controller and sends Spencer to his death.

3: "Welcome To Primetime B*tch!"
Jennifer Caulfield wanted to be a movie star. Freddie Krueger wanted to get even more creative with his kills. "A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors" saw Krueger deliver one liners before offing his victims. This one had to be the best of them all. After sprouting limbs from the television, Krueger grabs Caulfield, says "Welcome To Primetime B*tch" and smashes her head into the TV. Brilliant!

2: "Puppet Master"
"A Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Master" was full a awesome deaths. The death of the puppet master Phillip was the most sensational by far. After Phillip falls asleep, some smaller paper-mache puppets come to life and take the form of Krueger. After that, Krueger slices open Phillips wrists and feet and uses his veins to control the pool lad before slicing the veins after walking him to the top of the tower.

1: "The First Victim"
Whew! This was the way to get the series started. Tina Grey was Krueger's first victim in "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and she took the biggest "L" of them all. After Krueger chases Tina down in her nightmare, he captures her and the camera cuts to Tina asleep with her boyfriend Rob. This is when everyone realizes the nightmares are real as an invisible Freddy slices and dices poor Tina before dragging her up the walls and along the ceiling. When she is finally dropped into a puddle of her own blood, you realize that this is the movie we've been waiting for.
