The Apple iPad was announced earlier today and now we have initial images of the new device. Being advertised as being full customizable and better at browsing than a smartphone or a laptop, Apple's tablet computer comes with a 9.7-inch screen with full capacitive multitouch, is about half an inch thick, and features an incredible 10 hours of battery life. The device also features 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+, an accelerometer, compass, speaker, and mic, as well as the standard 30-pin connector. No word on 3G capability yet, but the iPad does come with Apple's recently developed 1GHz Apple A4 processor. Stay tuned for a release date and more information as it becomes available.
