In some regards, Ken Griffey Jr's career was a failure. His pursuit of Hank Aaron's home run record was derailed by injuries, and he never did run for President. Then again, he's never been implicated in any of the steroids scandals that have rocked baseball, and his 630 career homers (and counting) will ensure the 40-year-old Kid's enshrinement in Cooperstown. With luck, his will be the first plaque with a backwards cap. Meanwhile, he's gone through his career wearing the hottest kicks in the game.
