As a company,
Nike often faces a dilemma. It's a dilemma most other companies would kill to have, mind you, but it's a dilemma nonetheless: How does a company that prides itself on producing the most technically advanced footwear in the world continue to capitalize on their many iconic silhouettes without becoming mired in retro product and nostalgia? Occasionally, the answer comes in one product. Like the
Air Max 90 Current or the
Air Maxim 1, the Air Max BW Torch takes a classic silhouette and imbues it with new life. Cushlon reduces weight in the midsole, and the new Torch upper reduces stitching and saves even more weight (the laces are
(NIKE)RED).
