Christmas is almost upon us. Still don't know what to get your loved ones? If video games aren't their thing, we suggest designer toys. While they're not functional (who wants tube socks for Christmas anyway?), they're the perfect thing to display on desks and bookshelves at work, home or the dorm room because they just look so damn cool.
Here is StreetLevel's holiday guide to cool art toys to get for your friends and family -- and not for yourself, for once -- that are both affordable and obtainable.

For the Aspiring Artist: Kidrobot's DIY Toys
If you know a creative type itching to put their art on a blank canvas, try Kidrobot's customizable DIY toys. They come in all sizes and shapes -- monkey, kangaroo, giraffe, hippo, cat, etc. and range from $10 to $200. They're great for all ages.

For the Geek: "Futurama" Mini-figures
Any self-respecting geek likes "Futurama," so we suggest these three-inch mini-figures based on the cult-favorite cartoon. What's fun is that they come in blind boxes, so you never know whatcha gon' get. They're only $9 each too, so you can pick up a few to make it a multi-part gift, or be a cheapskate and just get one.

For the Music Fan:
Cassette tapes may be a thing of the past, but they can live on in vinyl toy form. Check out these cassette-shaped toys designed by Superdeux for Artoyz. They also come with a boombox-shaped 1 GB USB flash drive, so this is one art toy that does have a function, and it's only $60.

For the Ladies:
French design company Tokidoki makes these colorful, adorable figures of animals covered in cacti. They come in in various colors and sizes, and cost between $6-$35.

For the Movie Buff:
If someone you know is into movies but already has every flick in special edition Blu-ray, there's always these amazing 400% (8-inch) movie-based Be@rbricks featuring "Reservoir Dogs," "Terminator" and "Alien," ranging from $50-$90.

For the "Simpsons" Fan:
The "Simpsons" have been around forever, so you'll likely know a few people who are fans of the classic cartoon show. Kidrobot offers these amazing Ralph Wiggum and Kang (or Kodos) six-inch vinyls that are way cool-looking and affordable for just $30 each.

For the Person You Don't Know That Well (or a Secret Santa):
Whether a person's into toys or not, who doesn't love a cute rabbit with a nicotine addiction? Frank Kozik's signature character comes in all forms, but we recommend this $20 five-incher that comes with 16 swappable accessories. Even the person you barely know (the co-worker, the third cousin, etc.) will have to find amusement in this.

For the Stocking:
If you need a stocking stuffer, but want to avoid the typical crappy candy or useless trinkets, how about this keychain of Ron English's iconic McSupersized character? Kids will be amused by the fat Ronald McDonald, while grown-ups in the know suddenly have portable pop art. It's two-inches and $6.

For Little Kids and Babies:
David Horvath's five-inch Bossy Bear figure is the perfect gift for the little ones because the moral of his story is: Don't be so bossy, kid! He also comes in a variety of colors for just 15 bucks. And for the infants, Kidrobot has a nice assortment of plushes, like our faves Choop! the panda and Mozzarella, the leader of the Tokidoki "Moofia" gang, among others.

For the Kids You Hate:
If you hate your cousin's bratty kids but have to bring them over a gift, we suggest this five-inch Gloomy Bear figure. It depicts Mori Chack's infamous creature doing what he does best -- quenching his thirst for blood. He also comes with a muzzle and an unconscious child accessory for $30. That''ll learn 'em.
