Even before Thomas Jones was in the NFL, he had expensive taste in cars. As a star running back at the University of Virginia, he wheeled around in a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition and a 2001 Mercedes S500. Since then, the New York Jets' running back has built up a garage he describes as looking like a "bag of skittles," with cars like his lime green 2005 BMW 645 and Chicago Bear orange Ferrari 360 Spyder to commemorate their Super Bowl run 2005. Although now a grizzled ten-year veteran with 8,596 career rushing yards, Jones still maintains his lust for flashy automobiles. We checked in with this car enthusiast to find out what whips are on his mind.

2007 Lamborghini Murcielago

"It's my favorite car I have right now. You feel like a kid because when you get in the doors lift up. The engine is growling, it's low to the ground, and it looks like a spaceship. My car has a carbon fiber interior that's black and yellow. It looks like a bumblebee. I have yellow and black 20s on the back and 19s on the front. All these cats saying, "I'm a grown man. I don't put wheels on cars." I don't know where they got that rule. I look at my cars as toys. Only difference is as a kid I had matchbox cars and now I look at them as bigger matchbox cars. So I have fun with my cars. There's no rules when it comes to my whips. I do them how I wanna do them. I don't really go by any grown man codes. I'm a grown man. It doesn't take my car to see that. But I never drive it in [New York] because roads are too bad up here and the potholes. Also, I don't go through drive-thrus. I'm scared to crack my wheels. It's perfect for the beach in Miami, though. I take it out and drive. On the turnpike in Miami I got it up to 140 mph."

2006 Cream Cadillac Escalade

"In [New York] I drive my Escalade. I got 24-inch wheels and 15-inch speakers on it. On the panel by the sidedoors and the back for the speakerbox, Escalade and my name [is written] in diamonds. It's definitely a luxury truck."

2006 White Aston Martin Vanquish

"I drive that back and fourth to work. It's got a 22-inch wheels."

2004 Red Rolls Royce Phantom

"It's got 24-inch wheels and the calipers are red. That's a true machine. You wouldn't think something that big could go that fast. The acceleration on that car is amazing. When my friends come down and hang out with me in Miami that's the car we usually take out if there's two or three of us."

2005 Silver Bentley Continental GT

"The car I got the fastest in is my GT. I don't really drive that fast anymore. When I was younger and I first got the GT, I would get on the highway and just hit 160."

1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition

"I was gonna come out early [for the NFL draft], but I didn't so my senior year I had it on 20s. I felt real cool 'cause at the time the Big Tymers were out talking about Expeditions and I was riding around in one. When I was coming out, a lot of the guys one year ahead of me were getting Navigators, Tahoes, and Suburbans. That's when the trucks were real big. The Expedition was kind of the oddball truck."

2001 Mercedes S500

"I had it right before I was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. I've been collecting cars for ten years. I have a car for every year I've been in the league. Biggie would talk about the five double 0 a long time ago. Obviously that was a hot car. I was 21 years old. To have the opportunity to have one of those cars, that's definitely a grown man's car. Even today it's still a classy car and it always will be. So I was really excited about that one. As soon as I got it, my man shipped it down from Michigan and I was still on campus. It got to Virginia at probably six or seven in the morning. I was still on campus. I jumped in it and didn't even know how to work everything. I picked up a couple of my boys. They got out of bed, didn't brush their teeth or anything, and we were out. We had a lot of fun with that car in college. A couple weeks after I bought it, I had wheels on it. I used to work with 310 Motoring. I would just give them my cars and tell them to do what they do. My boy Darnell Griffin would paint it and do whatever to it. Now I work with my man Jack Jr. in Miami. He works with a lot of guys like Plaxico Burress, Fred Taylor, and Laveranues Coles."

2001 Black Hummer H1

"I sold it and it still makes me sad. I got to a point where I wasn't driving it much and driving it on South Beach [where I live] was a little awkward. Soon as I sold it, I felt like, Why did I do that? I should've kept it. I really loved that truck. I bought it when I was in Arizona. David Boston and I used to have our Hummers and take them out in the desert and ride around in them. He had a silver Hummer with chrome tints on the mirror. We both had chrome wheels. I had the black piping and fog lights on the top and bottom. It was a true Tonka truck. That car is unique. It runs off diesel gas. If you want a car that's gonna get attention, you can pull up anywhere in that car, it's gonna get attention."

2004 Baby Blue Range Rover

"I've had that since Arizona. It's got blue and cream interior. It looks like a lifesavers lollipop on the interior. It's pretty dope and safe. I drive that a lot, too. But I mostly drive the Bentley."

2005 Chicago Bear Orange Ferrari 360 Spyder

"I'm actually shipping it up to New York for Funkmaster Flex's car show. I bought it at the beginning of the season when we went to the Super Bowl in Chicago. I said if we went to the Super Bowl I'd paint it Chicago Bear orange and when we went, I painted it. It was initially silver. By the time we got to Miami in two weeks, they had it ready for me. The media knew about it because I guess guys on the team had talked about it after we won the championship game, and they were taking pictures of the car and asking about it."

2005 Lime Green BMW 645

"I had it painted. They say my garage looks like a bag of skittles because I got every color from red to green to blue to orange to white to silver."
