Philadelphia's Veterans Stadium, home to the Eagles and Phillies, opened in 1971, was demolished in 2004, and in between housed the biggest bunch of degenerates to ever step foot in a sports arena. That, in case you're wondering, was a compliment. The worst area of them all was the upper deck -- the 700 level, aka "The Nest of Death" -- where even angels feared to tread (because they would have had their wings torn off after being pelted by batteries and snowballs). Things got so bad that they had to open a courthouse and jail IN the stadium itself in 1997.

So of course Philly-based retailer UBIQ has teamed up with Puma to design a series of shoes in memory of the Nest. Consisting of two pairs of leather Clydes and two pairs of Suede Mids, the collection features Eagles colors (the Clydes honor the helmets, the Suede Mids the jerseys) and all sorts of Vet Stadium details. There's a party at UBIQ on November 8th celebrating the release -- you might want to bring batteries. Check out some more shots of the shoes and the invite below.
