The Los Angeles area has no shortage of art toy exhibits lately. Just this past weekend, artist and fan-favorite toy designer Frank Kozik opened his "Hubris" show at the Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery in Culver City. The exhibit includes five life-size Salari Ikas, a few MechaNanas, a pair of customized Labbit stools and much more of Kozik's work. The artist also displayed 25 gold The Bird Is The Word sculptures -- think Mao Tse-tung with Mickey Mouse ears -- going for $1,000 each as well as the debut of a 16-inch bronze version, limited to just 20 for $4,000 each. The show continues until November 7th, and you can check out the official site to see what artwork is left. [Via Vinyl Pulse]
