Fast food chains are catching on to our toy geekery by having collectibles come with kids' meals. Arby's has "Bobbing Head Heroes," Justice League-themed papercraft designed by custom paper extraordinaire Matt Hawkins, available for a limited time. Meanwhile, Taco Bell has their new line of "Bellhedz," 22 small vinyl figures that come in blind boxes. Though their heads are bell-shaped, they no doubt look similar to Kidrobot's Dunny series. In fact, so much that the toy retailer recently had a "Death To False Vinyl" rally in protest. We haven't seen these Bellhedz up close yet, but what do you think?
Are these joints' offerings as collectible as true urban vinyl, or are they as digestable as that Beef 'n Cheddar sandwich you just had?

I love Matt Hawkins work and I enjoyed the paper toys done for Arby's. The BellHedz are even cooler and they are definitely inspired by Kid Robot Dunny's. These are cheap but fun programs targeting children. The geek factor is high on both programs! There has been some angst over BellHedz but all preciousness aside they are cool little collectibles.

I agree with Tony. I understand people who make their living off "real" vinyl scrambling to mark their territory. But for 99¢ versus $120.00, where's their sense of shame, let alone their sense of proportion?
