Maybe Sub Pop isn't the VERY last record label one would expect to collaborate with Nike -- that would probably be Revelation or Cold Meat Industry -- but the one-time fierce Seattle indie that introduced the world to Nirvana never seemed like corporate types. Well, times and minds change, and we have this Nike Blazer Elite SB. As for that number on the heel -- SP780 -- that's a Sub Pop release number. Which puts these Blazers squarely between Black Mountain's "Lucy Brown"/"Shelter" and Fleet Foxes's Sun Giant. Available now from RMK for $150.
