Widgets and Internet connectivity are the new thing for HDTVs this year, but Vizio is taking it a step further with the XVT series. A total of eight different TVs encompass the XVT line with a plethora of different features that include 240Hz picture processing, LED backlighting and Vizio Internet Apps (VIA). A pair of 120Hz LCD HDTVs make up the sub-series of Thin Line XVT HDTVs that are priced under $1000, but they're only available in a 32- and 37-inch model. However, all the XVT series TVs have built-in 802.11n wireless networking capability and a customized Bluetooth remote with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The VIA feature includes streaming content from Amazon Video On Demand, Blockbuster On Demand, Netflix, Vudu, Showtime, Revision3, Pandora and Rhapsody directly to your Vizio HDTV. You can also tap into the Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr widgets as well as the Yahoo! Widget Engine from the comfort of your couch. The XVT series begins to roll out next month through December with prices starting at $750 and topping off at $2200.
