Long before Nike ever thought of cushioning sneakers with air, the Converse Pro Leather was the choice of many. Best known it its hightop form, the Pro Leather was worn by Dr. J in the NBA, and later, Michael Jordan at UNC. Technologically advanced it wasn't, but it beat hell out of the old Chuck Taylor All-Stars. For 2009, the OX (lowtop) version is being given the vintage circa 1976 treatment, with the old-style chevron, pre-yellowed soles and traditional team colors. Already in stock at VA. More photos after the jump. [Via Highsnobiety]
