It's funny, as fixed-gear cycling's popularity continues to skyrocket in cities across the world, you'd think there would be a flood of fixed-gear specific shoes flooding the market. Instead, there's barely anything. Sure, there was the Hypebeast X adidas Zeitfrei pack, but that was super-limited and available for roughly 17 minutes. Otherwise, you've got tons of hipsters pedaling around in outdated flimsy skate shoes like Vans Eras.Well, Nike decided to take a crack at designing a fixed-gear specific shoe, and what they came up with was the Zoom Tiempo. Originally designed as an indoor soccer boot, the Tiempo was retrofit with a a tougher outsole, a stiffer footbed and a more durable toebox to deal with the additional strain placed by pedals and clips and straps. Developed as part of the Nike Sportswear LiveSTRONG collection, the pack drops on June 20th. Read more after the jump.
The shoe was developed with eight riders worldwide, each of whom got to select his own colorway. The eight riders include; Kyle Demers from New York City, Jupiter Desphy from Los Angeles, Superted from London, Takaharu "Hal" Okada from Tokyo, Yorgo Tloupas from Paris, Henrik Kuerschner from Berlin, Massan from San Francisco, and-of course-Lance Armstrong from Austin. Look for select colorways to drop at DQM in NYC, Undefeated in LA-and all of them will be available at Nike Sportswear in NYC. [Via Hypebeast]

They should incorporate a plate on the bottom of the shoe that a toe clip can be mounted...
