The best thing about basketball--about sports in general, for that matter--is its unpredictability. No lead is safe. The best team doesn't always win. Anything can happen. Anything at all. And no matter how little time is left, it always seems to be enough.

Then again, certain things ARE predictable. Like this: On the weekend of September 10-12, Michael Jordan (among others) will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. We've known that since the day he retired. For, um, the third time. And to commemorate the event, Jordan is producing three shoes-the 6 Rings (seen here) representing the championships, a Retro 1 representing the beginning, and the Jordan 2009 representing his career going ever-forwards, as well as a leather varsity jacket. The 6 Rings includes elements of each shoe Jordan wore while winning his six NBA championships-the VI, VII, VIII, XI, XII and XIII. Each shoe in the Hall of Fame pack will be black-based and feature a pattern made up of numbers representing various facets (on-court and off) of Mike's Hall of Fame career. The entire pack will be available separately in September-or maybe you can find your size on Marqueesole now. See more pics of the shoe after the jump. [Via KixandtheCity]
