This week the StreetLevel crew attended a Cam'Ron show at the Highline Ballroom in NYC celebrating the release of his long-awaited album, Crime Pays, on May 12th. Packed to capacity with Killa Cam fans ranging from the most 'hood street-hop enthusiasts to the suburban rap writer intelligentsia, the venue erupted upon the arrival of the reclusive Harlem kingpin. While we enjoyed Cam classics like "Oh Boy" and "Down and Out" we couldn't help but be distracted by his headgear. At first we thought he was wearing a "Gucci" bandanna over a visor, which is well, 'hood. Upon further inspection we realized that the visor and bandanna were actually one piece. While we don't profess to be experts on all things Gucci, we have the sneaking suspicion that this luggage print visor is probably not real. Gaudy, inventive and slighty ridiculous, the "Cam-danna" visor definitely says Dip Set, but this is one fashion statement we can't co-sign. Sorry Killa.
