We got an early look at the adiZero Rose once before, but here's a closer look at what promises to be the production version of the shoe. The floating ankle collar -- similar to that of the Air Jordan XX -- allows space for Rose's Speed Wrap ankle braces, and the upper utilizes a whole mess of different materials and textures. Look for them to hit retail on October 22nd. Detail shots below.08.31.10 By: Russ Bengtson

Coat of Arms - Lower East Side - NYC
Coat of Arms is in the heart of the Lower East Side and is one of the OG spots in the area. Daymon runs the ship over there and if you look into what they're doing, they are killing the vintage game with some of the hardest to find garments around. From OG baseball jerseys, an array of watches to some snap backs you haven't seen in years. Be sure to get over to the shop in NYC if you're in the area on Clinton & Rivington.08.31.10 By: Luke August Reese

Dave Kinsey 'New Works' Show Preview
Get excited for this show, as Dave Kinsey will be doing his first solo show in over three years. The show will opens up on September 9th in NYC @Joshua Liner Gallery and will feature the works you see in this post, including the amazing piece above. Listen to what Dave said about this show, which is his largest yet:In this new body of work I primarily explore emotional and environmental boundaries, as I perceive them, in the context of the growing discord between humanity and nature. The state of the world today concerns me and I want try to affect, if not change, at least a feeling of realization or understanding when people view my work.
I have also spent time on cyclical issues, namely in the Continuum series, which clearly represents the reality of our earth-bound physical nature; beauty and death are ultimately dancing partners.
While I have thought about these things throughout my life, my recent experience in the isolated rural mountain community of Three Rivers, California has brought this reality to the forefront-living in nature allows a perspective rarely gained sitting in traffic in L.A. on your iPhone.
In terms of actual method, I approach each piece initially with an unconscious and somewhat spontaneous action to create what I consider to be "the perfect abstraction," made up of energetic colors and strong blacks. From that point I begin to add representational forms, linework and shapes to complete the narrative.
This is my largest and most extensive body work in nearly three years. This show was produced in two studios, Los Angeles and Three Rivers, California. Each piece is made up of acrylic, spray paint, paper, wood and ink on canvas.

IPATH Derelict
The IPATH Derelict takes a tried-and-true silhouette -- the vulcanized canvas/suede skateboard lowtop -- and flips it in a way anyone familiar with IPATH should recognize. The second signature model for Jersey legend Fred Gall, the Derelict's got...well, we'll let them tell it:You can snag the black pair right here, right now. Detail shots follow.Jersey's Fred Gall wanted to go low with his second shoe on IPATH, hence the new silhouette that is the Derelict. Classic old-school low style with some beefed-up elements. Suede is used in high-wear areas, with hemp added in where it makes sense. The shoe also features triple stitching where it counts, lightly padded collar, thin tongue and super grippy vulcanized outsole. This shoe is made for skating.
